General Info

If you’re exploring dining spots in Rugby, Dosa Village quickly stands out as a place that blends comfort, flavor, and convenience in a way that feels both relaxed and memorable. From the moment you scan the menu, there’s a clear focus on variety, with options that cater to different tastes and dietary preferences, including well-thought-out vegan choices that don’t feel like an afterthought. The Masala Dosa is easily one of the highlights-it arrives crisp, golden, and generously filled, offering that satisfying balance of texture and spice that keeps you going back for another bite.

At the same time, the Chicken Biryani brings a deeper, richer profile to the table, layered with aromatic seasoning and a comforting warmth that makes it ideal for a hearty meal. If you’re in the mood for something lighter or just want a quick bite, the Vada delivers a perfectly crisp exterior with a soft, flavorful center, making it a great companion alongside other dishes. Interestingly, the Salmon Steak adds a slightly unexpected twist to the menu, giving diners an option that feels both modern and satisfying without straying from the restaurant’s core identity.

The overall experience feels easy and flexible, which is something you notice right away. Whether you’re dining in or planning ahead, dinner reservations are recommended, especially during busier evenings when the place fills up with a steady stream of locals and visitors. For those who prefer staying in, the no-contact delivery service is smooth and reliable, making it simple to enjoy the same flavors at home without any hassle. Payment is equally convenient, with debit cards accepted, so there’s no extra planning needed before you arrive.

What really ties everything together is the atmosphere-it’s casual, welcoming, and built around the idea of enjoying good food without unnecessary fuss. Reviews often highlight how approachable the menu feels, and that sense carries through the entire visit. It’s the kind of location where you can drop in for something quick or settle in for a more relaxed meal, depending on your mood. Every dish feels intentional, and while the setting stays laid-back, the flavors and variety give you plenty to talk about long after you leave.

“ Food is good, staff are welcoming. The ambience is nice. Best place in Rugby to get some spicy South Indian dishes like Dosa, Idli, Vada, kuththu parota and also North Indian dishes like Naan, Parotta. It has good options for vegetarians and non vegetarians. Limited beverages available like Beer, Vodka, wine, fruit juice and cool drinks. ”

“ Delicious food, very friendly owner, absolute bargain for the food. big portions with lots of flavour. after visiting sri lanka last year, this is a real true sample of genuine sri lankan and south indian food. We had the Medhu Vadai, sri lankan curry, chicken masala dosa (huge), dal tadka, rice and mango lassi all for £28. we were very full. highly recommend and will definately be returning. there is a pay display car park just behind the restaurant. ”
